CHINSALI (19th February, 2026): A total of eleven (11) community projects, amounting to Twenty-Seven Million, Four Hundred and Thirty-Seven Thousand, Nine Hundred and Ten Kwacha (K27,437,910), have been approved under the 2026 Constituency Development Fund (CDF) for Chinsali Central Constituency.
The Ministry of Local Government and Rural Development, through the Muchinga Provincial Local Government Office, approved the project applications in accordance with section 12 (a) read together with section 25 (2) of the CDF Act No. 1 of 2024.
The eleven approved projects span critical sectors including energy, education, water and sanitation, health, transport, and infrastructure, demonstrating the Council’s commitment to equitable development and improved service delivery across the district.
Approved Projects for 2026:
1. Presidential Constituency Energy Initiative – 2 Megawatt (MW) Solar Plant 2. Procurement of an Excavator 3. Procurement of a Roller Compactor 4. Procurement of a Water Bowser 5. Procurement of Furniture and Equipment for Nkweto, Kampemba, and Shimunda Rural Health Centres 6. Maintenance of Selected Earth Roads in the District 7. Construction of a 1 x 2 Classroom Block at Milomfi Primary School 8. Construction of an Ablution Block at Kabuta Market 9. Maintenance of Nashinga Rural Health Post 10. Completion of an Embankment at Kasanta 11. Rehabilitation of a Re-purposed Campsite into a FireThe CDF remains a vital tool in facilitating community-driven development and ensuring that residents of Chinsali District benefit from tangible projects that enhance their quality of life and contribute to socio-economic transformation.
